 So I just met this crazy guy today, 

He was some politician, and boy, did he have a lot to say. 

Off he went talking all wild,

As if looking at the world, from the eyes of a child.

He blabbered about a country needing change, ascendance and grooming,

But all he could see was the corruption that’s brewing.

He spoke of integrity, passion and love,

And how we needed a leader, with all of the above. 

Then he mentioned, the craziest of mentions,

That he wanted to run, with Independent intentions.

No parties to back-scratch or money to launder,

Just his ideals, that he didn’t dare squander.

Admirable be it, that he’s an optimistic believer, 

I had to wonder: “Who is this crazy dreamer?”

He reminded me of that one rebel, who spoke of his “dream”

Or that other silly dude from India, “be the change” was his theme.

So I just sat and laughed, because I’m a realist and dare not despair,

The status quo of things, like poverty, greed and all the unfair.

Instead, watch out for that crazy guy I met and can’t quite construe,

Because the crazy people who think they can change the world… are the ones that do.

This post was simply inspired by a conversation held today with friends and change-makers. 

I’m just glad to know there are still “crazy” people out there…
